It's the high season for ATP tournaments and Slams! Already this month world number 2 Novak Djokovic beat number one Rafael Nadal on his home turf (clay actually). It was Djokovic's first win over Nadal on clay in ten attempts! Will he continue the winning streak in Rome? Paris? And where will Roger Federer end up?
Should be a very interesting season!

Torres Top Tennis and Swim and Trim have teamed up to offer a Tennis, Swimming and Yoga camp during Easter break for kids aged 6 - 13 years old. Ideally the camp - called Swing, Splash, Stretch - may also run throughout the summer.

MARCH 2011
This month we launched our new logos!
Torres Top Tennis is now offering indoor tennis instruction at King's Sports Centre. This new program for ages 4 and up is a great way to learn tennis without worrying about the heat or rain we usually have to contend with during peak hours. We will have after school programs for older students (ages 6 - 10) and earlier classes for younger groups (ages 4 - 6). Full schedule available here:
JANUARY 2011
The New Year is off to a great start with a lot of people making a resolution to take up tennis and having great results!
On January 11th Torres Top Tennis conducted tennis workshops with East End Primary school and the students had a really great time. We'll continue working with the local ITF to do more workshops to introduce tennis to young people that would otherwise not have the opportunity to play.
The Cayman Islands Open Tournament was held in late January and coach Eduardo Torres competed in mixed doubles with Fleur Vagniez to take home first place again this year - Congratulations to them! Eduardo is now turning his attention and training schedule toward the upcoming Invitational Championship in early February. There will be some tough international competition again this year so best of luck to you Eddie!
Also at the beginning of February there will be a tournament for the junior players of the Cayman Islands organised by Torres Top Tennis at Camana Bay. LINK
DECEMBER 2010
On December 4th Coach Eduardo Torres ran the Cayman Islands Marathon and had a great 3rd place finish in 3 hours 4 minutes. Here's a link to an interview in the Cayman Compass newspaper:
December 21st was also a special day for Eduardo and his fiancée Emilie, they got married in her home town of Winnipeg. It was snowy but not too cold, a very special and beautiful day.
TTT is getting ready for the New Year now with a new program and plans to get more tennis happening in the local schools with help from the local ITF. Interest has been high from local students and parents for more fitness options at school.
NOVEMBER 2010
This has been an exciting month for Tennis in the Cayman Islands! From Nov 4 - 7 the Legends Championship series took place at the Ritz-Carlton with Tennis greats such as Jim Courier, Marat Safin, Jimmy Arias, Mikael Pernfors, Stefan Edberg, etc. all in attedance and playing some great tennis!
On November 11 Venus Williams also came to Grand Cayman to promote her new book "Come To Win" . The gracious tennis superstar met with local kids and did a book signing at Books & Books at Camana Bay.
The rainy season is finally over and the recent cool front has made perfect weather for playing tennis!
